For my narrative project we were set a brief to create designs for a book suitable for children. I chose to   illustrate Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I chose to work in a style heavily influenced by Lauren Child as she is known for her unique children's books, which she both writes and illustrates.

This is my rebranding of Wingham Wildlife Parks logo. I did this as part of my Final Major Project.

This is my final poster, for FMP project, advertising Wingham Wildlife Park. I really like the design as it captures the viewers attention by the tigers intriguing eyes and bold but suitable colour scheme.

In december, I posted about a nautical pattern I had created.  I decided to enter it in to the Page Turner 2013 competition. The theme the work had to be related to was Curiosity. I thought that my design suited this as of the interesting shapes the ropes create which draw the eye around the page and make the design look curious. I made some developments to the design by adding a title - Curious Knot. I placed this in the centre as I felt this area looked quite bare. I was lucky enough to be short listed for the awards evening, held at UCA, but came away with first place for my age category. I am frilled and so excited to see it at the Turner Contemporary soon.

Whilst researching for a task in my Narrative Illustration project I came across this web layout I liked. Just thought to note it down for future reference when I design my web page. Not sure on the bright colours - find them quite sickly to look at ! But I like the speech box that keeps recurring. How they have used it to back just one word looks interesting as well as how the colours are used reverse to each other (grey and white)

This is a hand drawn illustration that I coloured up on the Mac. It is a pattern that was influenced by a walk along my home town's pebbled fishing beach of Deal. I really like the knots and flow of the rope and would like to experiment with this in further works.

This is a piece of work I developed up on the mac. I hand drew a pattern on the front cover of my Borough Market sketch book but had to refine it due to bad quality in lines. This was because the work had originally began as just a doodle and I had used the nearest pen to hand at the time - a chunky felt tip ! My thoughts on the final out come is that it is fresh and eye catching. Because of the green content - in both colour and subject matter - I was able to enter it in to the John Millest Show, Canterbury 2012.
